• The role involves leading the development of the next generation data processing platform using Beam and Spark, building self-serve capabilities, and owning technical projects from start to finish.

• The position also includes conducting technical interviews and mentoring junior engineers or interns.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience building a data processing system using Beam/Spark and optimizing data processing clusters for cost efficiency and performance.
• Experience in building high-throughput, low-latency serving systems is required.
• Candidates should have experience with the full ML model lifecycle, including feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in building scalable infrastructure on the cloud using Python or Java/Scala is necessary.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience working with big data is required.
• A BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience is needed.
• Candidates should be passionate about self-driving technology and have a strong attention to detail.
• A track record of solving complex problems efficiently and a startup mentality are essential.
• Bonus points for expertise in building end-to-end data ingestion and processing systems at petabyte scale, proficiency in SQL, and relevant publications.
