Wrapbook is a smart platform that simplifies production payroll and accounting for teams in the entertainment industry.
The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II (Ruby on Rails) to join their remote team in Canada.
The role involves collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers to create elegant solutions for customer problems.
Responsibilities include leading the delivery of complex problems, taking ownership of feature delivery, writing performant and secure software, and mentoring other developers.
The engineer will also improve existing architectures, communicate technical tradeoffs, and work on projects involving banking integrations.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a strong technical background with significant experience in building production web applications.
Proficiency in writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL queries is required, with PostgreSQL being a plus.
Experience in designing and documenting RESTful APIs is necessary.
A customer-focused mindset with attention to detail and quality is essential.
Candidates should have experience building Ruby on Rails applications and APIs.
Familiarity with banking APIs for money movement is required.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of a general ledger is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail are necessary.
