Cruise is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II for their Simulation team to work on constructing virtual environments for autonomous vehicles.
The role involves developing and integrating automated simulation test pipelines to solve testing and evaluation problems.
Responsibilities include creating tools for simulation management, authoring workflows, and generating millions of simulations.
The position requires collaboration with various teams across AV Engineering, Systems Engineering, Product Management, and Product Operations.
The focus is on accelerating training of ML models, enhancing user experience, and improving development speed.
Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience is required.
5+ years of relevant industry experience is necessary.
Strong programming skills in Python are a must.
Experience in technical leadership and collaboration across multiple teams is essential.
Passion for building tools, frameworks, and libraries to simplify workflows is required.
Proven track record of effective collaboration with customers and delivering quality results is necessary.
Benefits:
Competitive salary ranging from $142,800 to $210,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
