Description:
As a Senior Frontend Engineer in the Platform UI team, you will integrate and unify observability and security products to empower customers to create high-quality analyses that enable real-time reactions to events and incidents.
The Platform UI team creates and maintains UI components and experiences that provide a competitive advantage by offering flexible, discoverable tools for analytics.
You will take a leadership role on the scrum team and collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and engineers.
Responsibilities include building a rich user interface for a high-availability analytics platform using React and TypeScript, participating in user experience design, and leading regular code reviews.
You will mentor junior engineers, improve software development processes, and instrument UI performance with well-defined SLIs.
Collaboration with feature and component teams during design and development phases is essential to ensure adherence to UI architectural standards.
You will evaluate, test, and provide technology and design recommendations to management, write detailed design documents, and promote cross-team awareness to optimize code-sharing.
Taking ownership in breaking down requirements into technical tasks and maintaining large scale systems such as the design system and build pipeline is also part of the role.
Requirements:
A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Sciences or a related discipline is required.
You must have 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class JavaScript web applications.
Expertise in JavaScript/ES6/Typescript and at least 2 years of experience with React is necessary.
You should have experience with modern webapp building and testing frameworks such as Webpack, Jest, Karma, and Cypress.
Experience working in teams with a heavy emphasis on Automation and Quality (CI/CD) is required.
You must have experience working in an Agile development environment and leading projects while mentoring engineers.
Comfort in working with a remote team across multiple time zones and communicating with both technical and non-technical team members is essential.
Being a team player who can give and receive constructive feedback is important.
