Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer II on Wordscapes Search, you will work closely across all disciplines, including design, art, QA, production, and product, to implement new complex game features that provide joy and excitement to users.
You will demonstrate ownership and be proactive in driving towards delivery, filling in any gaps as needed.
You will have a solid foundation in coding and Unity best practices and leverage that experience to improve execution velocity.
Responsibilities include architecting, implementing, owning, and driving complex game feature development, such as tournament leagues and a quest system.
You will write clean and efficient code leveraging SOLID principles.
A solid understanding of client/server architecture and communication is required.
You will write clear technical and process documentation.
You will work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, designers, artists, producers, product managers, and QA, supporting each group when needed.

Requirements:

You must have 5+ years of professional experience in the mobile gaming industry, with a proven track record of delivering quality products on time.
Extensive experience working in the Unity game engine is required, along with an understanding of best practices and how to leverage it for quick execution.
Strong technical skills in object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms are necessary.

Experience working on cross-functional teams with the ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communications is essential.

PeopleFun provides a competitive total compensation package with a pay-for-performance rewards approach.
The expected base pay range for this position is $122,000-$175,000, based on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the total compensation package.
