Description:

The Senior Software Engineer III at Delphix will be responsible for researching functional requirements of new product features or feature enhancements.
The role includes providing coding estimates for new features and hands-on development writing API endpoints in Java and Python, operating in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
Adherence to coding best practices is essential, including code organization, code commenting, naming conventions, and compliance with the style guide.
The engineer will develop unit and integration tests for new feature implementations and file clear, detailed defect descriptions.
Debugging, analyzing, and correcting defects across a containerized environment is a key responsibility.
Providing constructive feedback during peer code reviews and technical design discussions is expected.
The engineer will execute consistently on scoped assignments and attend all regularly scheduled planning meetings, status meetings, feature demonstration sessions, and retrospective meetings in an Agile development environment.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of professional experience writing backend APIs.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment.
A demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and evolve robust iterative solutions is necessary.
Experience with performance and optimization problems, along with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and prevent these issues, is essential.
Candidates should be self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills.
The ability to thrive in a fully remote organization is required.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $120,850 - $173,700 a year.
