Description:

Ramp is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Infrastructure team, which is highly cross-functional and focused on solving a variety of engineering challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership, enjoy managing projects from inception to production, and take pride in their work.
Responsibilities include influencing and implementing the next generation of Ramp's database and infrastructure, working with cloud-native technologies, building abstractions within Terraform, solving scaling and performance issues, and participating in an On Call rotation for critical production events.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in shipping high-quality architectures for critical systems is preferred.
Production experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure is required.
Candidates must have the ability to think through customer requirements and devise high-impact solutions.
Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, specifically Terraform, is necessary.
Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language is required.
Deep experience in one of the following areas is essential: large-scale SQL database administration (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), real-time queue systems (e.g., Kafka, Celery, SQS, Temporal), or container orchestration/web server administration (ECS/Kubernetes, Load Balancing, Gunicorn, Flask).
