Remote Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Description:

• Work as a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team at ngrok Inc.
• Collaborate with the team to build, deploy, and manage the product using tools like Go, PostgreSQL, nix, gRPC, Terraform, etc.
• Mentor other team members and contribute to improving builder tools, infrastructure, and scalable architecture.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high uptime and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to team and organizational growth through interviewing, mentorship, and teaching.
• Engage in long-term planning for ngrok's capabilities, operability, and performance.
• Represent ngrok publicly through technical talks, blog posts, and open-source contributions.
• Help create a healthy and growing organizational culture.

Requirements:

• Must have 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Proficiency in building and running software at a global scale in AWS or other cloud providers.
• Expertise in Go or other compiled languages.
• Bonus points for experience with tech stack components like Kubernetes, nix, rust, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Datadog, Honeycomb, and domain knowledge in networking, builder tools, or security.
