Description:

Reality Defender is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join their team in New York City or remotely within the USA.
The company specializes in AI-generated media detection solutions to combat fraud, disinformation, and deepfakes in real time.
The role involves working closely with customers and their technical teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and performance through monitoring and optimization.
The engineer will deploy and integrate the company’s products in on-premise environments, ensuring seamless integration and performance according to client specifications.
The position also requires developing and overseeing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
The engineer will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into infrastructure solutions is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and a willingness to work closely with customers.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development and infrastructure management is necessary.
Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.JS, Python, and either Go or Rust is required.
Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, along with cloud-native services, is essential.
Additional experience with GCP or Azure is preferred.
Familiarity with Terraform and Pulumi is required.
A strong understanding of database management (SQL, NoSQL) and server-side technologies is necessary.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other container orchestration tools is required.
Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools is also expected.
