Description:

The Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure & Developer Tooling will lead and scale the core infrastructure and internal tooling for robot deployment and development lifecycle.
This role blends distributed systems, DevOps, and developer experience to support mission-critical robotics operations.
The engineer will serve as the technical lead for infrastructure efforts and may lead 1β2 other engineers, with opportunities for broader leadership as the team expands.
Key initiatives include ensuring secure deployment, monitoring, and updating of robots at scale, while enabling fast and reliable development across the engineering organization.
Responsibilities include designing scalable infrastructure, building automated robot software update systems, developing CI/CD pipelines, scaling multi-cloud infrastructure, implementing observability systems, building internal developer tools, driving security and compliance, and collaborating across the organization.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership in DevOps and infrastructure projects.
A proven track record with CI/CD systems, distributed systems, and developer tooling is required.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and Kubernetes is essential.
A strong understanding of security best practices in cloud-native environments is necessary.
Experience in implementing and scaling monitoring, logging, and alerting systems is required.
Candidates should be passionate about building platforms that support world-class engineering teams.
An interest in robotics and automation is preferred, though robotics experience is not required.
Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $170,000 to $220,000, depending on experience, with compensation packages tailored to seniority and skill level.
