Description:
Settle is a company focused on simplifying inventory purchasing through a cashflow management platform for founders and small business owners.
The Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure will play a key role in shaping and building the company's infrastructure, developer experience, observability, and security.
The position requires a strong foundation in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities include leading optimization efforts for GCP usage, ensuring the reliability and security of cloud services, developing CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes deployments, contributing to database management, improving monitoring frameworks, and implementing SRE principles.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of industry experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or related fields.
A minimum of 3 years of expertise with cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP and Kubernetes, is required.
At least 2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Helm and Terraform is necessary.
Candidates should have 1+ years of experience with CI/CD tools like CircleCI, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
A minimum of 1 year of database management knowledge, ideally with Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL, is required.
Strong understanding of monitoring and observability principles, with experience using tools like Datadog and Prometheus, is essential.
Proficiency in streamlining development workflows and a keen interest in SRE practices and platform engineering are necessary.
Candidates should demonstrate resourcefulness and the ability to excel in dynamic environments, along with enthusiasm for broad responsibilities across infrastructure, DevOps, and security.
