Description:

Standard Bots is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to build and scale core infrastructure for robot deployment and operations.
The role involves applying distributed systems and DevOps expertise to modern robotics applications.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable infrastructure for the robot deployment pipeline, maintaining deployment systems for robot software updates, creating automated provisioning workflows, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
The engineer will scale cloud infrastructure focusing on fleet management, secure communication channels, and resource optimization.
The role also includes designing observability systems to monitor robot fleet health, track deployment success rates, and diagnose infrastructure issues.
Security infrastructure management is a key responsibility, including access control systems, network security, and incident response.
Collaboration with software engineers, assembly techs, QA team, and Solution engineers is essential to address infrastructure and customer support needs.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong DevOps experience.
A proven track record with deployment pipelines and distributed systems is required.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and container orchestration using Kubernetes is necessary.
A strong background in security best practices and implementation is essential.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools is required.
An interest in robotics and automation is preferred, although robotics experience is not mandatory.

The salary range for this role is between $170,000 and $210,000, with compensation packages tailored to seniority and skill level.
