The position is remote, open to candidates located anywhere in Canada, with a requirement to work in EST.
Responsibilities include designing, improving, and debugging complex distributed systems, optimizing performance, writing scalable code, participating in technical planning, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of full-time work experience building highly performant web applications with outstanding user experience.
Recent work experience with Ruby on Rails is required.
Knowledge of full-stack technologies such as React, Typescript, GraphQL, and Go is highly preferred.
Experience collaborating with Product & Design teams to create high-impact end-to-end product experiences is necessary.
Candidates should have experience working with relational databases and key-value stores.
Experience in analyzing, benchmarking, and optimizing web application page load performance across the entire stack is required.
