WeatherBug, a division of GroundTruth, provides hyperlocal weather forecasts to over 10 million monthly users through its app and website.
The Senior Software Engineer (iOS/React Native) role is remote and based in India, requiring core work hours from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am IST.
The position involves designing, architecting, and documenting systems to meet team needs, coding robust iOS solutions, and acting as a CodeOwner in code reviews.
Responsibilities include automating testing solutions, deploying code in pre-production, developing debugging tools, and collaborating with vendors for third-party SDK integration.
The engineer will perform mobile releases for iOS, retire outdated solutions, provide operational support, and coordinate across business teams to resolve technical issues.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

A 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 9+ years of experience in software development is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in software engineering and 5+ years of experience with iOS development tools such as Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and Xcode.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with SwiftUI or declarative UI frameworks and 3 years on an Agile team is necessary.
Proficiency in Concurrency, Multithreading, and Swift Combine or other asynchronous programming patterns is essential.
Knowledge of object-oriented design principles, performance optimizations, and memory management on iOS is required.
Strong communication skills, troubleshooting abilities, and mentorship skills to guide junior engineers are important.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and a strong sense of self-drive and technical expertise are also required.
