Description:

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a fully remote position in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, France, or the United Kingdom.
This role involves designing and implementing a Rust-based interpreter for a Scheme-derived Domain Specific Language (DSL).
The engineer will contribute to building a scalable and reliable API infrastructure.
Responsibilities include developing internal tools to enhance developer experience, troubleshooting bugs, optimizing performance, and applying low-level Linux system tuning.
The position requires collaboration with remote engineering teams across various time zones to deliver reliable and well-documented features.
Participation in architecture discussions and strategic technical decisions is expected, along with writing high-quality documentation.
The engineer will drive ownership throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of programming experience with strong proficiency in Rust.
Hands-on experience in designing Scheme-based dialects and building interpreters or compilers is required.
A solid background in Linux systems debugging, profiling, and performance optimization is necessary.
Experience in contributing to open-source or enterprise-scale backend platforms is essential.
