Remote Senior Software Engineer IV (TS/JS)

Description:

• OpenX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer IV (TS/JS) to join their team in Krakow, Poland, with a focus on designing and operating high-scale ad marketplaces.
• The role involves designing high-performance, distributed, low-latency systems and delivering new features and functionality.
• The engineer will work closely with Product teams to drive requirements and own projects end-to-end.
• Responsibilities include analyzing and improving the efficiency, scalability, and stability of servers and processes, while identifying and removing unnecessary complexity.
• The company operates a 100% Cloud-based (GCP) platform, handling over 370 billion ad requests daily and over 1200 production deployments a month.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building SaaS applications using JavaScript/Typescript, including Node.js, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
• Experience with database system design, including RDBMs (MySQL, Postgres) or NoSQL is required.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills are necessary for this position.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Familiarity with Python is also a nice-to-have.
• Experience in digital media, marketing technology, or advertising technology is considered a significant advantage.
