Remote Senior Software Engineer - Java

• The Senior Software Engineer position is a full-time remote role based in Mexico with 3PILLAR GLOBAL.

• The engineer will estimate and execute project modules, gather requirements, design, and develop from scratch or modify existing architecture.

• The engineer will actively participate in scrum meetings, lead ceremonies, and provide accurate status tracking and reporting.
• Mentoring Junior and Intermediate developers is a key responsibility.
• The position involves facilitating effective communication with client project stakeholders and developing strong relationships with the client team.
• The engineer will conduct technical interviews and identify inconsistencies in architecture/design models, proposing improvements.
• Collaboration with fellow engineers, testers, and managers to enhance team performance is essential.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in software development is required.
• Strong experience with Java 8 or Java 11 is essential.
• Proficiency in Java Web frameworks such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and JEE is necessary.
• Experience with Spring JDBC or Apache Struts is required.
• Knowledge of Oracle DB (Oracle DB 12c) is needed.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies is a must.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL is required.
• Experience in writing Store Procedures is necessary.
• The candidate should have experience in building frontends with JavaScript.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Experience with source control tools, specifically GIT, is necessary.
• Unit testing experience is required.
• Additional desired experience includes understanding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), experience with Docker and Jenkins, knowledge of HTTP protocols, and familiarity with serialization formats like JSON and XML.
• Knowledge of Apache Tomcat and React is also desired.
