Remote Senior Software Engineer - Java

• The Senior Software Engineer position at 3PILLAR GLOBAL is a full-time remote role based in Guatemala.

• The engineer will independently drive project delivery from conceptualization to deployment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Java and key Java-based frameworks such as Spring, Springboot, and Hibernate is required.
• Proficiency in RESTful web services and a deep understanding of SQL and relational databases is necessary.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, generating specs/APIs (OAS, Swagger), and AWS Cloud is essential.
• Knowledge of containerized services (AWS EKS), high availability architecture (AWS Redis Cluster, Kinesis Data Shards), and tools like Redis, KeyCloak, Jenkins, and Postman is required.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and Object-Oriented Programming principles is expected.
• High-level design proficiency using UML / C4 / ArchiMate and experience in creating scalable enterprise-level systems is necessary.
• The candidate should have a good understanding of SOLID principles and familiarity with OWASP.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Additional experience in Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs), architectural and design patterns, unit testing, and working in the cloud is desired.
