Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will work remotely in India, focusing on product development.
The role involves collaborating with industry leaders and spearheading transformative projects in various sectors such as urban living, media, and healthcare.
Responsibilities include understanding business requirements and implementing technical solutions.
The engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Java and big data technologies.
Tasks include creating data pipelines, managing versioning and change management, and ensuring data integrity and performance with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
The role also involves developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ETL/ELT processes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
The engineer will automate and optimize data workflows, design and maintain batch or real-time data pipelines, and ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, security, and compliance.
Writing secure and scalable APIs for data consumers and training junior engineers are also key responsibilities.
The engineer will execute complex activities within current methodologies and quality standards, promoting client success through collaboration with engineers, designers, and managers.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a software engineer is required.
Proficiency in Java 8+ and frameworks like Spring Boot, with exposure to Kafka and Spark is essential.
Candidates must be proficient in data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow.
Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB are necessary.
Exposure to working on Data Lakes and Data Warehouses solutions is required.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is necessary.
Nice to have: Prior experience with IoT devices, experience with Big Data technologies like Map Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, and experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or AWS QuickSight.
Experience with any public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) is also a plus.
