We invite a highly organized and motivated Software Engineer with strong backend development expertise and a deep understanding of complex Java code to join our team.
You will contribute to the development of data-driven tools for quick-service restaurants.
Our client is a major player in the POS domain who partners with 11 world-leading fast food chains in the US.
You will help deliver high-quality software on a SaaS platform that provides customer engagement solutions to empower merchants worldwide to make data-driven marketing decisions.
In this role, you’ll be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Effective communication is key as you’ll collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities include developing and maintaining Java applications, writing clean and efficient code, creating or updating documentation, reviewing code, providing technical leadership, troubleshooting issues, designing database models, researching software products, assessing risk in design decisions, and participating in team ceremonies.

Requirements:

You must have 5+ years of experience in Java web development, with proficiency in Java 8.
Strong knowledge of design patterns is required.
Extensive experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar is necessary.
You should have experience writing auto-tests with JUnit and Mockito.
Understanding of cloud technologies and containerization (Kubernetes) is essential.
Familiarity with a Linux environment and Shell scripting is required.
Strong knowledge of Git is necessary.
You must possess advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Excellent communication skills are required.
Experience with multi-threading and concurrency is necessary.
An upper-intermediate+ English level is required.
Desirable qualifications include a strong understanding of CI/CD processes, experience with Groovy, Kotlin, and Java 17, experience with Gradle, and experience with JS, TypeScript, Angular.
