Description:
The Senior Developer Experience (DevEx) Software Engineer will join the team focused on improving the overall experience for all Engineers at Vestwell by enhancing tooling, infrastructure, and documentation.
Responsibilities include enhancing the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure, empowering developers and test engineers to write, test, and deploy code efficiently.
The role involves working closely with the SDET team, DevOps team, and agile Engineering Squads to streamline the development lifecycle and drive operational excellence.
Day-to-day tasks include improving and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline, developing automation tools, collaborating on capturing GitHub settings using Terraform, providing guidance to development teams, and advocating for new technologies and practices.
The position requires a proactive approach to issue resolution, strong communication and teamwork skills, and proficiency in Jenkins, Groovy pipeline scripts, scripting languages, Terraform, AWS cloud services, Linux environments, and Docker/containerization.
Requirements:
5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on CI/CD, DevOps, or Developer Experience roles.
Strong experience with Jenkins, Groovy pipeline scripts, and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, and other relevant tools for scalable infrastructure.
Proficiency in working with Linux environments.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Extra: Docker and Containerization experience for efficient deployment and management of services.
