Remote Senior Software Engineer, Justice Engineering

Description:

• The Justice Engineering team at Block is responsible for Legal engineering and Tax engineering domains.
• Tax engineering ensures compliance with tax requirements in the US and other jurisdictions.
• Legal engineering supports the counsel team in responding to subpoenas and investigations, enhancing brand trust through transparency.
• The team consists of 10 engineers located in North America, Australia, and Ireland.
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with global engineering teams, design full-stack tools and services, and enhance data access for security.
• You will work on problem-solving outside the team's scope, deploy daily, and collaborate with remote team members in North America and Europe.

Requirements:

• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated curiosity, ability to explore solutions in a focused team, and experience with side projects or open source projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in technologies like Ruby, Java, Swift, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, Rails, MySQL, Redis, and AWS.
