The Senior Software Engineer will join a small team to build a new product focused on data warehouse tooling.
The role involves launching services at scale and working on critical data warehouse queries.
Responsibilities include partnering with product teams, understanding customer needs, creating greenfield products, and building scalable systems.
Requirements:
Candidates must have previous startup experience.
Experience working on products in the critical path for data warehouse queries is required.
Applicants should be skilled in collaborating with product teams to build new products and features.
Significant experience with application performance tooling, including tracing and proactive monitoring, is necessary.
Candidates must be adept at troubleshooting complex production bugs and improving system stability.
Experience in architecting fault-tolerant solutions for backend applications on cloud platforms is essential.
Familiarity with automated tests and modern CI/CD tools is required.
Strong asynchronous communication skills are a must.
Experience with databases, data warehouses, and big data processing tools is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working with large datasets using SQL and SaaS platforms.
A background in developing custom proxies is preferred.
Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses like Snowflake, DataBricks, BigQuery, or RedShift is required.
A strong desire to mentor others in engineering best practices is essential.
