Description:
The senior software engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and systems for the platform.
They will need to build scalable solutions to support customers with large and complex containerized workloads.
Writing readable and maintainable code with a focus on total cost of ownership is essential.
Collaboration with team members and Product Management to develop features that address customer needs is a key aspect of the role.
Improving engineering processes and the platform to enable fast iteration and impact on company success is also part of the responsibilities.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in building and maintaining complex backend systems in the cloud.
Experience in managing and manipulating data at scale is required.
Hands-on experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem, including Helm, kubectl, Prometheus, etc., is preferred.
Proficiency in Python is necessary as all backend code is written in Python.
Familiarity with SQL is a must, and experience with Snowflake is a plus.
Strong passion for design patterns and applying theory into practice when architecting systems and writing code.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, to incorporate feedback and research into product development.
Comfortable working 9-5 EST with flexibility to manage work hours effectively.
