Remote Senior Software Engineer - Kubernetes

Description:

• The senior software engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and systems for the platform.
• They will need to build scalable solutions to support customers with large and complex containerized workloads.
• Writing readable and maintainable code with a focus on total cost of ownership is essential.
• Collaboration with team members and Product Management to develop features that address customer needs is a key aspect of the role.
• Improving engineering processes and the platform to enable fast iteration and impact on company success is also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in building and maintaining complex backend systems in the cloud.
• Experience in managing and manipulating data at scale is required.
• Hands-on experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem, including Helm, kubectl, Prometheus, etc., is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python is necessary as all backend code is written in Python.
• Familiarity with SQL is a must, and experience with Snowflake is a plus.
• Strong passion for design patterns and applying theory into practice when architecting systems and writing code.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, to incorporate feedback and research into product development.
• Comfortable working 9-5 EST with flexibility to manage work hours effectively.
