Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building and operating the next generation of enterprise-grade identity services for Twilio's products.
They will work on a globally distributed IAM platform for authentication and authorization across Twilio and its associated member platforms.
Responsibilities include building tools and APIs for internal product groups to onboard onto a unified IAM platform, delivering new products and services to enhance safety and reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The role involves writing high-quality code, covering it with various tests, planning and leading team projects, coaching junior engineers, and deploying code to the cloud.
The Senior Software Engineer will also learn and use technologies like AWS, K8s, CI/CD, Front-end frameworks, and Back-end service building techniques.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in building resilient, high-throughput services and distributed systems.
Proficiency in asynchronous communications, multi-threading concepts, and technologies like MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, and Memcached.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and experience troubleshooting complex production issues.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
