Remote Senior Software Engineer, Lab Fulfillment

Description:

• Lead the design and implementation of major software components, systems, and features in the Lab Fulfillment ecosystem
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software systems for genetic testing at scale
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables aligned with the Lab Fulfillment team’s roadmap
• Translate customer requirements into reliable and scalable system designs
• Mentor and train team members on design techniques, coding standards, and engineering excellence
• Enhance the development of complex, scalable, and reliable systems

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of software development experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree
• Proficiency in technical stacks like AWS, Python, Django, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Typescript, Kafka, RMQ, React on Kubernetes using GitHub Actions, and New Relic
• Ability to provide technical leadership for platform initiatives from inception to production
• Deep technical knowledge of web application architectures, APIs, and developer tools
• Demonstrated capability to design and deliver complex and maintainable software systems and features
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in distributed teams
