Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Linux Networking to join their team.
The company operates a large network that powers websites and Internet properties for a diverse range of customers.
The role involves working on various projects, including a Linux kernel-based networking dataplane, userspace networking services, network software for hardware appliances, and next-generation firewall functions.
Responsibilities include building, deploying, and operating systems on Cloudflare's global network, collaborating with engineers and product managers to solve complex problems, and improving the performance and scalability of Network Services products.
The ideal candidate should be curious, empathetic, and excited about revolutionizing networking technologies.

Requirements:

Experience in building and shipping large-scale, reliable, highly distributed systems is required.
Proficiency in systems-level programming, particularly in Rust and/or Go, is essential.
Expertise in L2, L3, and/or L4 networking protocols is a must.
Familiarity with Linux kernel networking primitives such as netfilter, nftables, eBPF, tc, and network namespaces is necessary.
Previous experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs and backend systems is preferred.
Strong debugging and optimization skills are required.
Ability to own solutions end-to-end, drive the design and deployment process, and collaborate effectively with teams is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity are necessary.
