Remote Senior Software Engineer, Loader

Description:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and enhancing RevDB, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
They will work on features that handle massive datasets, improve data ingestion pipelines, and enhance data analysis capabilities.
The role involves solving complex challenges in data management, such as time-series database management, data normalization, and real-time data processing.
Collaborating on cross-functional projects with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver features meeting strategic customer needs.
Advocating for engineering best practices, contributing to internal knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior engineers.
Consistently delivering software on time, proactively identifying risks, adjusting plans, and communicating effectively to achieve team objectives.

5+ years of Java programming experience with a strong background in data-intensive applications.
Strong foundation in relational databases, ideally Postgres, and experience with large-scale data processing systems.
Familiarity with cloud services, ideally AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
Industry experience in deploying best practices with scalable design patterns.
