Description:
Standard Bots is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop and optimize AI models and training systems.
The role involves designing, implementing, and iterating on large-scale AI models while building efficient systems for rapid experimentation and deployment.
Responsibilities include applying novel machine learning techniques to a wide range of robotics applications, developing efficient data and training strategies, and implementing model evaluation frameworks and metrics tracking.
The engineer will lead model development with a focus on rapid experimentation, performance optimization, and model debugging.
The position requires building robust evaluation and debugging systems to analyze model behavior, implement interpretability tools, and track model metrics.
Collaboration with the engineering team is essential to optimize training infrastructure and deployment.
Experience with robotics is not required; the company seeks experienced engineers ready to impact the AI robotics revolution.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on machine learning.
A proven track record in developing and deploying large-scale machine learning models is required.
Strong understanding of modern machine learning architectures and training techniques is essential.
Experience with model debugging, optimization, and performance tuning is necessary.
A background in implementing machine learning research papers and adapting academic work is preferred.
Proficiency in PyTorch is required, along with experience in Python, NodeJS/Typescript, and Docker.
Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $200,000 to $240,000, depending on experience.
Compensation packages will be built commensurate with seniority and skill level.
