Description:

• As a z/OS Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and integrating scalable solutions.
• You should be highly versatile with zOS, its concepts, and building software on it.
• You will be accountable for designing, coding, testing, modifying, and implementing new or existing software products.
• The role requires you to contribute to the continuous development, enhancement, and maintenance of existing and new products.

Requirements:

• You must have 4+ years of post-bachelor’s degree experience as a software engineer in developing and integrating applications in zOS.
• Mastery of computer science concepts and systems programming is required.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in systems programming using C, C++, and z/OS High Level Assembler (HLASM) is necessary.
• You should have good knowledge of z/OS operating system architecture and network configurations.
• Familiarity with compiler and software build tools associated with zOS is required.
• Experience in programming with network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, and network sockets is essential.
• You should have good experience working with client-server and multi-tier systems.
• Hands-on experience in SQL, configuring, and tuning databases like DB2 is required.
• You must have hands-on experience in writing and debugging z/OS system-level authorized programs, including cross-memory applications.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and profiling skills for your own code and that of peers are necessary.
• You should be capable of resolving complex bugs and performance issues with zOS applications.
• The ability to specify, design, implement, debug, and profile high-performance systems software is required.
• You should have a strong understanding of parallel computing software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with good rapport and collaboration with teammates, are essential.
• Understanding the role of technology in the context of business priorities is necessary.
