Description:

The Senior Software Developer will focus on maintaining and improving existing systems that support core business functions.
This role involves solving real-world problems, improving system stability, and mentoring others while keeping customer and business needs in focus.
The developer will collaborate with other developers, product stakeholders, and the client support department to resolve technical issues efficiently.
The maintenance team acts as the first line of defense for escalated issues, filtering and resolving them or funneling complex cases to specialized development teams.
The position promotes a “you build it, you own it” approach, encouraging responsibility for system maintenance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include modernizing support workflows, exploring AI-powered tools for automation, enhancing internal tooling, and improving developer experience.
Daily tasks involve owning technical resolutions, collaborating with the client support team, championing a maintenance mindset, and documenting technical decisions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software development experience in distributed applications.
Strong expertise in modern PHP development using frameworks like Symfony or Yii is required.
A solid understanding of Vue.js, component-based front-end architecture, and MySQL is necessary.
Proven experience in maintaining and scaling production systems is essential.
Strong debugging and performance optimization skills are required, along with familiarity with security tools such as code scanning solutions and third-party package vulnerability scanners.
Candidates should be comfortable working with AWS services, including SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch, CDK, and ECS.
Experience in designing or improving test coverage, including Unit, Integration, and Functional tests, is needed.
Experience with developer tooling improvements, such as CI/CD pipelines and observability, is required.
Candidates must be confident working in Agile environments and leading technical discussions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, with the ability to bridge gaps between technical and non-technical teams.
A mindset focused on pragmatism, ownership, and knowledge sharing is important.
