Description:

Workato is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Machine Learning to join their team in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The role involves the development of AI products, specifically building, extending, and fixing AI services based on Large Language Models (LLMs).
Responsibilities include writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code in Python, integrating AI services with various technologies such as Postgres, Redis, S3, DynamoDB, Kafka, and ClickHouse.
The engineer will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, provide code reviews, evaluate and propose improvements, and identify bottlenecks and bugs while devising solutions.
Ruby experience is considered a plus.

Requirements:

Candidates should have a background in information systems, computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as an ML engineer or Data Scientist is required.
Proficiency in Python programming and experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) models are essential.
A good understanding of the building blocks of large web applications, including databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, and monitoring, is necessary.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of network protocols and stacks, as well as database technologies, including classic databases and modern No-SQL.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English are required.
