Description:
Standard Bots is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale infrastructure supporting AI development and deployment.
The role involves applying distributed systems and DevOps expertise to cutting-edge AI/ML applications.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable infrastructure for the AI deployment pipeline, building and maintaining distributed compute clusters, optimizing resource allocation, and automating AI deployment workflows.
The engineer will scale cloud infrastructure focusing on distributed GPU training coordination, data compression, and optimizing costs across cloud providers.
The position requires designing observability systems to monitor system health and resource utilization for training jobs and automatically detect infrastructure issues.
Collaboration with ML engineers is essential to understand and address infrastructure needs.
Experience with AI or robotics is not required; the company is looking for experienced engineers ready to impact the AI robotics revolution.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience; DevOps or ML Ops experience is a plus.
A proven track record with data pipelines and distributed systems is required.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and container orchestration using Kubernetes is necessary.
An interest in ML/AI infrastructure is important, although deep ML expertise is not required.
Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $170,000 to $210,000, with compensation packages tailored to seniority and skill level.
