Remote Senior Software Engineer (Mobile)

Description:

• The company, Wiser Solutions, provides in-store and eCommerce intelligence and execution tools to brands, retailers, and retail channel partners globally.
• The Senior Software Engineer will work remotely from Ontario, Canada, on mobile applications and services related to crowdsourcing.
• Responsibilities include collecting, categorizing, and analyzing semi-structured data from retail stores, maximizing crowd members' productivity, and reducing acquisition costs.
• Collaboration with engineers, designers, product managers, and operations team is essential through Slack, video calls, and emails.
• Technologies used include NodeJS, NestJS, Java, PHP, React, Redux, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL, Event Store, iOS, and Android native apps.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring or NodeJS/NestJS microservices.
• Strong coding skills in multiple languages and frontend web or native mobile development.
• Experience with testing practices, system design, and agile team environments.
• Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies and excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Bonus points for a passion for data and analytics or experience in retail or e-commerce environments.

Benefits:

• Competitive base annual pay estimated to be CAD$120,000 to $130,000.
