Remote Senior Software Engineer (Mobile)

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will work on crowdsourcing-based mobile applications and related services for Wiser Solutions.
• The role involves collecting, categorizing, and analyzing semi-structured data from retail stores in the US and Canada.
• Responsibilities include maximizing the productivity of crowd members, increasing engagement, and reducing acquisition costs.
• Collaboration with engineers, designers, product managers, and operations team is essential.
• Communication is key in this fully remote role, utilizing Slack, video calls, and emails.
• The engineer will contribute beyond coding, providing ideas and experience to enhance solutions and the product.
• Technologies used include NodeJS, NestJS, Java, PHP, React, Redux, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL, Event Store, iOS, and Android native apps.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring or NodeJS/NestJS microservices.
• Strong coding skills in multiple languages.
• Experience in frontend web or native mobile development.
• Familiarity with testing practices and emphasis on quality.
• Ability to design high-scale distributed systems.
• Agile team experience and eagerness to learn new tools.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
