Description:
Going is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile to help build, launch, and iterate on their mobile app as their member base grows.
The role involves collaborating with product and design teams to create innovative features, fix bugs, and enhance functionality.
The engineer will work with other engineering teams to implement cross-functional features and ensure a seamless user experience across all platforms.
In the short term, the engineer will become familiar with the code base, tech stack, and project management processes, partner with designers to develop a feature roadmap, collaborate with service engineers to establish APIs, and engage with mobile engineering peers.
In the long term, the engineer will take ownership of end-to-end features, propose technical improvements, advocate for engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience and 4+ years of hands-on expertise with TypeScript and React Native.
A strong focus on performance, usability, and accessibility across platforms and devices is required, along with experience in writing and maintaining automated tests.
Experience mentoring other engineers and a customer-centric approach to challenges are essential.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, high standards for code quality, flexibility, and a willingness to learn are necessary.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be able to work US hours.
Nice to have: Native iOS/Android module development experience, experience building scalable JavaScript web applications, and experience in a startup environment.

The salary for this role starts at $148,732 plus equity.
