Description:
Lark Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Mobile to lead technical strategy and architecture for their React Native codebase.
The role involves owning architectural decisions and best practices, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to align mobile engineering with business goals, and championing code quality, performance, scalability, security, and testing.
The engineer will define a cohesive mobile testing strategy, mentor team members, and participate in a cross-functional guild to set best practices for the larger engineering team.
Responsibilities include hands-on development, building new features, refactoring legacy code, and ensuring robust test coverage through automated testing strategies.
The engineer will mentor mid-level and senior engineers, provide code reviews, and collaborate with other engineering teams to define project goals and timelines.
Participation in Agile methodologies is required, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, while working closely with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive mobile experience, demonstrating expertise in React Native and TypeScript, along with a deep background in native Android development (Java/Kotlin) and an understanding of the current Android ecosystem.
Proven leadership experience in a tech lead engineering role is required, guiding projects from concept to launch and mentoring team members.
Applicants should have mobile testing expertise, including experience in elevating test coverage, introducing automation frameworks, and fostering a testing culture.
Experience in implementing monitoring and alerting, as well as Service Level Objectives, is necessary, with familiarity with Datadog being a plus.
A focus on quality over quantity is essential, with experience in driving an application’s codebase and product to maturity.
A proven track record in sprint planning and working with Agile methodologies is required.
Strong collaboration skills are necessary to partner effectively with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams.
A Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
