Description:

  • Change.org is seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to enhance product features and user experience.
  • The role involves developing robust and scalable payment infrastructure and integrating new payment methods and gateways.
  • The engineer will provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Key responsibilities include taking ownership of monetization-related projects, providing technical influence to junior team members, participating in technical planning, and identifying optimization opportunities.
  • The engineer will also be expected to participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 4–6 years of experience in full-stack web service development and building reliable systems in production environments.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in at least one language used at Change.org, such as Node.js, Rails, or Elixir, is required.
  • Experience with frontend technologies like React, JavaScript, and TypeScript for at least 3 years is necessary.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code technologies, including Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS, is essential.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing payment infrastructure, including integrating payment gateways and ensuring compliance with financial standards, is required.
  • Strong coding skills in full-stack development and proficiency in multiple technologies, languages, and frameworks across the web stack are necessary.
