Description:
The Senior Software Engineer position at Cash App focuses on building consumer financial products, particularly in the Money Management team.
The role involves creating seamless asset management experiences for customers by developing brokerage operations tooling, compliant data archival, and automation platforms for popular product offerings like Paycheck Distributions and Automatic Stock and BTC purchases.
Responsibilities include collaborating with various teams, building domain expertise in banking and investing, designing resilient and scalable systems within a microservice and event-driven architecture, maintaining high engineering standards, and participating in an on-call rotation.
Requirements:
5+ years of software development experience is required for this role.
The candidate should have an open mind, a strong desire to learn and grow as an engineer, and the ability to excel in both macro and micro elements of software design.
A pragmatic approach with a focus on delivery is essential.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience is necessary.
Technologies used and taught include Java, Kotlin, AWS, HTTP, JSON, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, OkHttp, Jetty, JUnit, Guice, Hibernate, Aurora, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Kafka, event-driven architecture, microservices, DataDog, and Buildkite, Gradle.
