Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for deep analysis of requirements, planning, and developing new features for the platform.
They will produce high-quality code considering performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Review team's code contributions, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality software development practices.
Manage source code repositories and branching strategies.
Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
Fix software defects, refactor code, and identify areas for improvement.
Write extensive unit and integration tests.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and expertise to junior and mid-level Software Engineers.
Work in a fast-paced agile environment, delivering over sprints.
Attend and engage in sprint ceremonies.
Requirements:
Professional software development experience in similar roles.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and manage stakeholder expectations.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
Proven knowledge and experience in C# .NET, LINQ, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Web APIs, source control management, and unit tests.
Experience with OOP, SOLID principles, secure coding, software design patterns, web-based languages, microservices, and Azure DevOps.
Desirable skills include exposure to Bootstrap CSS framework, Azure, multi-tenanted SaaS software solutions, and insurance industry experience.
High proficiency in English.
Ability to work a schedule overlapping with a typical UK workday (9am to 5:30pm GMT).
