Remote Senior Software Engineer .NET India

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for deep analysis of requirements, planning, and developing new features for the platform.
• They will produce high-quality code considering performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Review team's code contributions, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality software development practices.
• Manage source code repositories and branching strategies.
• Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Fix software defects, refactor code, and identify areas for improvement.
• Write extensive unit and integration tests.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and expertise to junior and mid-level Software Engineers.
• Work in a fast-paced agile environment, delivering over sprints.
• Attend and engage in sprint ceremonies.

Requirements:

• Professional software development experience in similar roles.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
• Proven knowledge and experience in C# .NET, LINQ, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Web APIs, source control management, and unit tests.
• Experience with OOP, SOLID principles, secure coding, software design patterns, web-based languages, microservices, and Azure DevOps.
• Desirable skills include exposure to Bootstrap CSS framework, Azure, multi-tenanted SaaS software solutions, and insurance industry experience.
• High proficiency in English.
• Ability to work a schedule overlapping with a typical UK workday (9am to 5:30pm GMT).
