As a Senior Software Engineer for the PayDay team, the focus will be on building out n8n for larger teams, specifically the “Enterprise” use case and the necessary paid features.
Responsibilities include working mainly on the backend, supporting test-driven development, collaborating with the engineering team and cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and senior management, and contributing to a product that the community loves.

Requirements:

Proven experience in building and scaling backend systems in Node.js, ideally for complex or high-traffic applications.
Strong understanding of TypeScript or JavaScript.
Experience in building robust RESTful APIs.
Skills in relational database design and SQL programming (SQLite, PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, or Cypress.
A curious mindset and a passion for learning new things.
A belief in continuous learning, valuing feedback, and enjoying collaboration to create a positive team environment.
Bonus points for experience with cloud computing (Docker, Kubernetes), understanding of compilers/parsers, building microservices, front-end frameworks (Vue.js or React), and an interest in open source.
