Remote Senior Software Engineer - Oracle Dev, Lotus's - REMOTE

Description:

• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to design and implement robust backend solutions.
• Build scalable and secure applications, including client-side and server-side architecture.
• Develop, test, and maintain well-functioning APIs, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Analyze existing systems and plan refactoring to align with enterprise architecture standards.
• Implement abstractions to support interchangeable source and destination systems via connectors.
• Work as part of agile Scrum teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Be familiar with Oracle technology such as Oracle DB and related programming languages including Java, PL/SQL, and Linux scripting.
• It is advantageous to be familiar with Oracle Retail Suite or Oracle ERP.
• Create data flow/system flow/detail design to clarify backlog and acceptance criteria for the team.
• Create related documents for knowledge management for the team and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with stakeholders (Business Team/Developer/QA/TPM/DEVOPS/Solution Architect) to resolve any blocking issues in software development.
• Understand and adapt testing methodology and collaborate with the QA team to deliver software with quality.
• Understand and adapt Agile methodology in software development.
• Understand and adapt CI/CD practices and be familiar with DevOps tools in software development.
• Work with L1/L2 support teams as L3 to resolve any production issues within SLA.
• Serve as a senior team member, collaborating with teammates to deliver software with quality and providing consultancy for junior team members to solve blocking problems.

Requirements:

• Oracle Retail experience is compulsory, along with proficiency in PL/SQL, System Design, Bash, and Java.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Developer/System Analyst with leadership experience is necessary.
• Proficiency in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Java, and Linux scripting is required, with experience in Oracle Retail Suite or Oracle ERP being a strong advantage.
• Strong skills in creating data flows, system flows, and detailed design documentation to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria for the team are essential.
• Strong coordination skills are needed to work effectively with business teams, developers, QA, DevOps, and Solution Architects to resolve development issues and remove blockers.
• Experience in Agile methodology is required.
• The ability to serve as L3 support for production issues, providing mentorship to junior team members and ensuring high-quality delivery is necessary.
• Good English proficiency is required.
