Description:
The Payment Recovery team within the Underwriting & Credit organization is responsible for building systems and integrating ML solutions for powering installment attempts to different payment products like BNPL and Pay Monthly.
The payment recovery system processes millions of installment attempts daily with complex strategies to charge installments at minimal processing cost.
As a senior software engineer, you will design, build, and manage distributed services and pipelines for the payment recovery domain.
You will lead multi-person projects, ensure high code quality, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work closely with ML Modelers and Decision Scientists.
The role involves creatively solving technical problems at scale, contributing to the growth of development capabilities, and working on critical projects for the business's success.
Requirements:
8+ years of backend software development experience in languages like Java, Kotlin, Go, Python.
Experience with technical leadership, automated testing frameworks, and continuous learning of new technologies.
Ability to work with globally distributed cross-functional teams and a passion for Cash App's mission of economic empowerment.
Bonus points for ML model-related experience and familiarity with technologies like Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, and Temporal.
Keen interest in advancing Cash App's vision of building for economic empowerment.
