Description:

  • Lime is the world's largest shared electric vehicle company, focused on building a future where transportation is shared, affordable, and carbon-free.
  • The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the Payments and Trust areas.
  • The Payments team is responsible for building Lime's Payments platform, improving transaction costs, authorization rates, and local payment integrations across more than 20 countries.
  • The Trust team is developing a real-time risk engine to identify platform abuse while maintaining community trust.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with various leaders to solve complex payment and fraud problems, developing robust engineering platforms, building machine learning systems for payment optimization, and analyzing data for decision-making.
  • The role also involves shaping the engineering culture and mentoring other engineers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of building impactful products or systems is required.
  • Candidates should possess an owner's mindset with strong execution skills and a passion for applying engineering and machine learning to solve complex business problems.
  • Technical proficiency to understand and contribute to project design and implementation is essential.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills are necessary for managing competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills to extract critical information from transaction data and user patterns are required.
  • Preferred experience includes domain expertise in payments, anti-abuse, or fraud detection, and experience in collaborating with leads from various departments to craft roadmaps.
