Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Performance in Colorado.
This role is designed for a backend engineer who is passionate about high-scale distributed systems and performance optimization.
The engineer will work at the core of a critical mobile measurement platform, designing and operating real-time infrastructure that processes billions of events daily.
Responsibilities include deep system-level thinking, crafting low-latency services, optimizing attribution logic, and building resilient data pipelines.
The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, own major technical projects, and directly impact how marketers evaluate their campaign effectiveness.
Key accountabilities include designing and maintaining large-scale, event-driven backend systems, implementing and optimizing core attribution logic, and improving systems built in Java and Kotlin.
The role also involves collaborating with product, SDK, data science, and infrastructure teams, taking full ownership of the development lifecycle, and contributing to engineering best practices.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in backend engineering with expertise in Java and/or Kotlin.
A strong understanding of distributed systems, data streaming, and event-based architecture is required.
Proficiency in tools and technologies such as Kafka, Aerospike, DynamoDB, or Redis is necessary.
Solid experience with performance tuning, low-latency service development, and error resilience is essential.
Familiarity with mobile measurement and privacy-centric frameworks (SKAdNetwork, Privacy Sandbox) is a plus.
Candidates should be comfortable writing clean, testable code and mentoring others in code quality and system design.
The position is open to candidates based in the Denver metro area or those who are open to a fully remote setup within Colorado.

The position offers a competitive base salary range of $148,000 – $189,000 (Colorado only).
