Remote Senior Software Engineer (PERL, SHELL, AWS and Linux)

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will be a core contributor in developing the suite of product offerings at Wiser Solutions.
• Responsibilities include designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes at a large scale.
• The role involves developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions is a key aspect of the position.
• The engineer will be expected to improve the quality of solutions by ensuring high-quality, well-designed, and maintainable software.
• Ownership of projects from idea through delivery into production is a crucial part of the role.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience is required.
• Experience working with highly complex distributed systems is necessary.
• Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
• Expertise in front-end development using JS technologies is a must.
• Expertise in back-end development using Perl, Shell Script, and Node.js is required.
• Proven ability to learn quickly, make pragmatic decisions, and adapt to changing business needs is necessary.
• Solid understanding of AWS, Linux, and infrastructure concepts is a key requirement.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization is essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Experience with ci/cd, observability tools, and other DevOps-related concepts is necessary.
• Understanding of how the internet works is a must.
