Description:

The position is for a Senior Software Engineer (PHP) at Smoobu, a subsidiary of HomeToGo Group, located in Krakow or available for remote work within Poland.
The company is part of a team of over 800 members focused on e-commerce, mobility, and transport & logistics, emphasizing innovation and user experience.
The role involves developing and improving Smoobu's product, which manages over 70,000 vacation rental properties worldwide.
Responsibilities include collaborating with business stakeholders to identify requirements, planning milestones, and enhancing features based on performance metrics.
The engineer will work on decomposing the monolith, building a modern import/export pipeline for third-party integrations, and migrating the application environment to AWS.
The role requires applying engineering best practices and solving technical design issues.

Requirements:

Candidates must have relevant experience in backend engineering.
Expertise in PHP and Symfony, relational databases (MySQL), and Docker is required.
Practical knowledge of decomposing monolithic architectures, clean coding, Test-Driven Development, and SOLID principles is essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a distributed team are necessary.
A willingness to take responsibility for features and their continuous improvement is expected.
Professional working proficiency in English is required.
