Remote Senior Software Engineer - PHP

• The Senior Software Engineer position at 3PILLAR GLOBAL is a full-time remote role based in Mexico.

• The engineer will execute complex activities within current methodology and quality standards, showcasing success across diverse engagements.
• Collaboration with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on solutions is essential.
• Engagement in agile software development practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and team retrospectives, is expected.
• The engineer will mentor others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or on project teams and support the growth of technical capabilities.
• Independent project delivery within defined architecture is required, demonstrating autonomy and accountability from conceptualization to deployment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in PHP, Angular, and JQuery is required.
• Experience in Agile software development methodologies is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience in creating and implementing well-tested, scalable, and performant enterprise-level systems.
• The role requires practice and initiative in mentoring other engineers and decision-makers throughout the organization.
• Proficiency in the English language is mandatory.
• Additional desired experience includes Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs), architectural and design patterns, unit testing, working in the cloud, and containers using Rancher.
• Experience in video production, encoding, decoding, processing, and Angular interfacing to FF of MPEG, AWS Lambda Functions, and Queue is also preferred.
