Remote Senior Software Engineer PHP & React

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer PHP & React position is a full-time remote role based in Costa Rica within the Product Development team at 3PILLAR GLOBAL.
• The company focuses on building breakthrough software products that drive revenue, market share, and customer growth for industry leaders in various sectors.
• Responsibilities include facilitating effective communication with client project stakeholders regarding project status and recommendations.
• The engineer will craft client code that is efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.
• Active participation in planning and estimation efforts using project methods and tools is required.
• The role involves gathering requirements and organizing/presenting developed features for clients.
• The engineer will execute complex activities within the current methodology and quality standards, showcasing success across diverse engagements.
• Collaboration with engineers, designers, and managers is essential to understand user pain points and iterate on solutions that drive client success.
• Engagement in agile software development practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and team retrospectives, is expected.
• The engineer will mentor others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or on project teams and support the growth of technical capabilities.
• The role requires independently driving project delivery within defined architecture, demonstrating autonomy and accountability from conceptualization to deployment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Agile software development methodologies is required.
• Expertise in applying Object-Oriented Programming principles, including abstraction and encapsulation, is necessary.
• High-level design proficiency following UML / C4 / ArchiMate is expected.
• Experience in creating and implementing well-tested, scalable, and performant enterprise-level systems is essential.
• The candidate should have a practice and initiative in mentoring other engineers and decision-makers throughout the organization.
• A good understanding of SOLID principles is required.
• Familiarity with OWASP is necessary.
• Proficiency in the English language is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs) is required.
• Understanding of architectural patterns (Microservices, Serverless) and design patterns (Factory, Singleton, Observer) is necessary.
• Experience with unit testing is required.
• Working knowledge of cloud containers using Docker/Kubernetes is essential.
• Specific client-engagement technologies will be determined and vetted at the time of the interview.
