The Senior Software Engineer will join the Platform Team at Aplos, focusing on designing and building scalable distributed solutions.
The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and observability to enhance the customer user experience.
Responsibilities include collaborating on high-quality software designs, developing and maintaining scalable micro-services and APIs, transitioning legacy platforms, ensuring observability patterns, monitoring system performance, and mentoring feature teams.
The engineer will also ensure compliance with design specifications and engineering standards through code reviews.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a Senior level role.
Mastery of high-level programming languages is essential, particularly NodeJS, with Java being beneficial.
A strong understanding of modern software architecture patterns, including microservices and event-driven programming, is necessary.
Experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and knowledge of cloud design principles are required.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is expected.
Candidates should be comfortable working with Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role.

The base salary will be determined based on skills, education, experience, and geographic location.
